Terms of Service

Last updated: May 21, 2026

TL;DR: Use MimicKit as a tool — like DevTools or a screenshot app. Don't ship copyrighted designs without permission. Pay if you go Pro. Try the 3-day free trial before you buy — purchases are final. Monthly subs cancel anytime. We won't be liable for galactic events.

1. Agreement

By installing the MimicKit Chrome extension or creating an account at mimickit.com, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. The "we", "us", and "MimicKit" refer to the MimicKit team. "You" means you, the user.

2. What MimicKit does

MimicKit is a browser extension and web service that inspects websites you visit and extracts information (CSS, colors, fonts, SVG icons, images) for your own use. It runs on demand — you decide when and on which site.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. One account is for one person — please don't share credentials. We may suspend accounts used for abuse, fraud, or activity that puts other users at risk.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to not:

5. Copyright & what you extract

MimicKit is a tool, similar to browser DevTools or a screenshot utility. The CSS, fonts, icons, and images you extract may be subject to copyright, trademark, or license terms set by their original owners. You're responsible for how you use what you extract.

Most users grab references for inspiration, internal design-system work, learning, accessibility audits, or rebuilding their own past projects. That's fine. Always respect copyright and licensing for anything you ship commercially.

6. Free and Pro plans

The Free tier includes basic inspection and a limited number of monthly exports and saved items. Pro unlocks unlimited usage, the Design System Generator, AI prompt exports, and bulk downloads.

Pricing

Prices are in EUR and exclude VAT or sales tax where applicable. We may change prices for new customers at any time; existing paid subscribers keep their current price for the duration of their current billing cycle.

Free trial

New accounts get a 3-day free Pro trial. No card required to start. When the trial ends, your account moves to the Free tier unless you upgrade.

Cancellation

You can cancel a Pro Monthly subscription anytime from the Stripe customer portal (link inside the extension's Profile tab). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. No refunds for partial months on the monthly plan. Lifetime purchases are final — please use the 3-day free trial first.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the service running, but we can't promise zero downtime. Maintenance, third-party outages (Supabase, Stripe, Cloudflare), and Chrome platform changes can briefly affect availability. We're not liable for losses caused by service interruptions, but we do our best to fix things fast.

8. Changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove features as the product evolves. We won't remove a major Pro feature you paid for without offering an equivalent or a prorated refund.

9. Termination

You can delete your account anytime by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose security risks. If we terminate your paid account without cause, we'll prorate-refund the unused portion.

10. Disclaimers

MimicKit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the extracted output is suitable for your particular project, that it complies with the originating site's license, or that conversion to Tailwind / CSS / Vue / React will be bug-free in every edge case.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MimicKit's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the country of registration of the operating entity. Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved by good-faith negotiation. If that fails, by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

If we materially change these Terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify active accounts by email. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.

14. Contact

Anything unclear, billing issues, refunds, or legal: [email protected].
